William Sample

William was born in 1836.¹   William's father was John Sample and his mother was Sallie Prewitt.  His maternal grandparents were Fields Pruitt and Mary Burke. He had five brothers and a sister, named James Monroe, John, Fields, Joseph, M. and Sarah.  He was the second youngest of the seven children.
