Fields Sample

Fields was born in 1828.¹   Fields' father was John Sample and his mother was Sallie Prewitt.  His maternal grandparents were Fields Pruitt and Mary Burke. He had five brothers and a sister, named James Monroe, John, Joseph, William, M. and Sarah.  He was the fourth oldest of the seven children.
