Alice de was born about 1094 in Of, Hertford, Hertfordshire, England.1 Alice de's father was Ranulph le MESCHIN and her mother was Lucy CHESTER. Her paternal grandparents were Ranulf de MESCHINES and Maud de AVRANCHES; her maternal grandparents were Thorold and Beatrice MALET. She had two brothers and a sister, named Ranulph de, William de and Agnes de. She was the oldest of the four children. She died in 1128.1 General Notes
