PAGE line 132A pp 116-117In Douglas' *William the Conqueror*, p 92-93, there is only a discus sion of Ranulf (spelled Rannulf here) numbers I and II. Douglas states that Ranulf I was " the son of a vicomte named Anschitil", and that he "survived until after April 1089", whic h I didn't know before.
