King of Powys

King of Powys was born about 0978 in of Powys, Wales.¹   King of Powys' father was Gwerystan ap Gwaethfoed and his mother was Nesta verch Cadell.  His paternal grandfather was Gwaethfoed ap Gwynnan; his maternal grandfather was Cadell ap Brochwel. He had two sisters named Nesta verch and Elinor verch.  He was the second oldest of the three children. He had a half-sister named daughter verch.
