John Herring

John was born about 1705 in Bertie, NC.¹ John's father was JOHN HERRING and his mother was Catherine Morbe. His paternal grandparents were Anthony Herring and Marjorie West; his maternal grandparents were George Morbe and Catherine (Morbe). He had three brothers and a sister, named Simon, JOSHUA, Benjamin and Susanna. He was the oldest of the five children. He died on October 23rd, 1773.¹
