Jasper John was born in 1853 in ,Green, Pennsylvania, USA.1 Jasper John's father was Alford B COPELAND and his mother was Eliza Jane ANTIL. His paternal grandparents were William COPELAND and Sara SNIDER; his maternal grandparents were John ANTIL and Isabel CHENITH. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Alpheus J, Benjamin Ramer, David Lindsey, William S, Mary Ann, Sarah Belle, Eliza Jane, Elvira and Laura Etta. He was the fourth oldest of the ten children. He died at the age of 76 in 1929.1 -
