Donald III Bane 
Donald III was born in of Atholl, Perthshire, Scotland.1 Donald III's father was Duncan I MacCrinan and his mother was Sybil Aelflaed. His paternal grandparents were Crinan Grimus de Mormaer and Bethoc (Beatrix) of Scotland; his maternal grandparents were Ealdorman Of Northumbria Uchtred and Eggfrida of Chester. He had two brothers and a sister, named Malcolm III, Maelmuir of Athol and Margaret of Scotland. He died in 1099 in Rescobie, Angusshire, Scotland.1 General Notes
