Edward was born on October 27th, 1728 in Baltimore Co., MD. Edward's father was Jonathan II Tipton and his mother was Elizabeth Edwards. His paternal grandparents were Jonathan Tipton and Sarah Pearce. He had a brother and a sister, named John and Sarah. He was the oldest of the three children.
