John Slaymaker 
John was born in March 1783 in Lancaster Co., PA. John's father was William Mathias Slaymaker and his mother was Jane E. Slaymaker. His paternal grandparents were Mathias, Jr Slaymaker and Barbara Smith; his maternal grandparents were John Slaymaker and Elizabeth White. He had three brothers and four sisters, named William Mathias, Jr., Frederick W., Alexander J., Sample, Jane, Ann and Margaret. He was the oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 2 on November 15th, 1785 in Lancaster Co., PA.General Notes
