James Burr Slaymaker 
James Burr was born on February 21st, 1846 in Lancaster Co., PA. James Burr's father was James Hamilton Slaymaker and his mother was Jane Elizabeth McIlvaine. His paternal grandparents were John, Jr. Slaymaker and Jeannett McIlvaine. He had four brothers and three sisters, named John Siemmens, Thomas Alexander, Robert McIlvaine, William Dickson, Sarah Jane, Anna Mary and Jane Elizabeth. He was the youngest of the eight children. He died at the age of 48 on November 24th, 1894 in Peabody, Marion Co., KS.General Notes
