Marcus Gray was born on June 27th, 1878 in Marengo, Iowa Co., IA. Marcus Gray's father was James L. Farley and his mother was Flora Bell Wood. His paternal grandfather was John Farley; his maternal grandparents were Jehial Wood and Mary Ferren. He had a brother and two sisters, named John Gehial, Ida May and Estella Prudence. He was the second youngest of the four children. He died at the age of 69 on March 8th, 1948 in Cedar Rapids, Linn Co., IA.General Notes
