Her paternal grandfather was John Farley; her maternal grandparents were Jehial Wood and Mary Ferren. She had two brothers and a sister, named Marcus Gray, John Gehial and Ida May. She was the second oldest of the four children. She died at the age of 65 on November 25th, 1940 in Cedar Rapids, Linn Co., IA. She was buried in 1940 in I.O.O.F Cemetery, Marengo, IA.1 General Notes
