Hildegard von Henneberg

Hildegard was born about 1106 in Wurzburg, Unterfranken, Bavaria.¹ Hildegard's father was Count Gotwald of Henneberg I and her mother was Lukard von Hohenberg. Her paternal grandparents were Count Poppo of henneberg I and Princess Hildegard of Thuringia; her maternal grandparents were Berthold von Hohenberg and <Unknown>. She had five brothers named Poppo, Gebhard, Gunther, Berthold and Otto. She was the fourth oldest of the six children.
