Count Engelbert of the Mark III

Engelbert was born about 1361 in Kleve, Rheinland, Prussia.¹ Engelbert's father was Count Adolf of Mark II and his mother was Countess Margarethe of Kleve. His paternal grandparents were Count Engelbert of the Mark and Mathilde d' Arenberg. He had a brother and two sisters, named Adolf, Margarethe and Mathilde. He was the youngest of the four children.
