Zilpa McCoy

Zilpa was born in 1792 in Bedford Co., Virginia.¹ Zilpa's father was William McCoy and her mother was Joanna Payne. Her paternal grandparents were William McCoy Sr. and Ann; her maternal grandparents were Thomas Payne and <Unknown>. She had three brothers and five sisters, named Thomas, John, Jubal, Nancy, Elizabeth, Joanna, Letha and Mary. She was the sixth oldest of the nine children.
