Thomas McCoy

Thomas was born in 1784 in Bedford Co., Virginia.¹ Thomas' father was William McCoy and his mother was Joanna Payne. His paternal grandparents were William McCoy Sr. and Ann; his maternal grandparents were Thomas Payne and <Unknown>. He had two brothers and six sisters, named John, Jubal, Nancy, Elizabeth, Joanna, Zilpa, Letha and Mary. He was the oldest of the nine children.
