Robert was born before 1675 in Charles Co., Maryland.1   Robert's father was Robert Hinson and his mother was <Unknown>.  His paternal grandparents were Maryland Hanson and <Unknown>. He had four brothers and two sisters, named George, Joseph, James, Alexander, Anne and Mary.  He was the sixth oldest of the seven children.
