Mary was born on December 7th, 1810 and her baptism took place on January 20th, 1811 in St John Baptist, Croydon.1 Mary's father was Henry Letts and her mother was Sarah Hewitt. She had three sisters named Jane, Harriet and Ann. She was the youngest of the four children.
