Emily (Betty)'s father was George Henry Evans and her mother was Annie Clarke. Her paternal grandfather was Henry George Evans; her maternal grandparents were Walter Clarke and Annie Clarke. She had five brothers and two sisters, named George, Walter, Leslie, Albert, William, Ina and Rose (Dolly). She was the second oldest of the eight children. She had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named Charles, Irene and Sheila. She died at the age of 81 on May 5th, 1989.
