Thomas was born before 1775 and his baptism took place on April 23rd, 1775 in Docking St Mary.1 Thomas' father was Thomas Callaby and his mother was Susan Hull. His maternal grandparents were William Hull and Ann. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Matthew, William, Charles, Jane and Amy. He was the oldest of the six children.
