Lewis Steer

Lewis was born in 1858 and his baptism took place on April 25th, 1858 in Petworth.¹   Lewis' father was William Tipper and his mother was Jane Steer.  His maternal grandparents were William Steer and Anne Merriott. He had three brothers and a sister, named Thomas, Henry, George and Jane.  He was the youngest of the five children. He had a half-brother named William.  He died at the age of 48 in 1906.
