Maggie was born about 1880 in Bathgate, West Lothian.1   Maggie's father was David STEIR and her mother was Jessie STEIR. She had six brothers and a sister, named John, William, David, James, Fleming, Robert and Marion.  She was the third oldest of the eight children.
