Henry C was born about 1876 in Rochester, Kent.1   Henry C's father was Henry J STEERS and his mother was Amy STEERS. He had five brothers and four sisters, named Sidney J, Edwin C, Jack E, Charles, Fred J, May E, Amy K, Wilhelmina and Alice P.  He was the oldest of the ten children.
