Eliza was born about 1883 in Tunbridge Wells, Kent.1   Eliza's father was Richard STEERS and her mother was Emily STEERS.  Her paternal grandfather is <Unknown> and her paternal grandmother was Eliza MALLCOMER. She had two brothers and three sisters, named Richard, Cyril, Maud, Blanche and Lottie.  She was the third youngest of the six children.
