Edwin James was born in 1845 in Dartford Kent. Edwin James' father was Edwin Edward James and his mother was Mary Ann LONG.  His paternal grandparents were Thomas STEER and Elizabeth. He had five sisters named Eliza, Elizabeth Ellen, Maria, Sarah Ann and Mary Ann Amelia.  He was the second oldest of the six children.  He died at the age of 9 in August 1854 in Dartford Kent.  He was buried on August 11th, 1854 in Holy Trinity, Dartford, Kent..1 2
