William Henry was born about 1882 in Kingswood, Surrey.1   William Henry's father was James William “William James” STEER and his mother was Harriet Chitty.  His maternal grandparents are <Unknown> and <Unknown>. He had a brother and four sisters, named Frederick, Mary Ellen, Rose Annie, Florence Matilda and Lillian S.  He was the oldest of the six children.
