William Edward was born about 1899 in Holbeton Ivybridge.1 William Edward's father was John Henry STEER and his mother was Sarah Jane STEER. He had four brothers and a sister, named James Henry, Frederick John, Edward Friend, Alfred Sidney and Emily Eliza. He was the second oldest of the six children.General Notes
