Edward Friend was born about 1905 in Holbeton Ivybridge.1 Edward Friend's father was John Henry STEER and his mother was Sarah Jane STEER. He had four brothers and a sister, named James Henry, William Edward, Frederick John, Alfred Sidney and Emily Eliza. He was the second youngest of the six children.General Notes
