Walter A was born about 1858 in East Grinstead Sussex.1   Walter A's father was Edward STEER and his mother was Sarah Ann STEER. He had three brothers and two sisters, named William H, Edward, George J, Alice and Sarah Ann.  He was the second youngest of the six children.
