Violetta Mary was born about 1895 in Lenton, Nottinghamshire.1   Violetta Mary's father was George STEER and her mother was Violetta Mary STEER. She had three brothers and two sisters, named Leonard George, John William Vernon, Henry Leslie, Lilian Dorothy and Edith Iris.  She was the second oldest of the six children.
