Tom was born about 1893 in Bigbury Devon.1   Tom's father was Fred STEER and his mother was Clara STEER. He had four brothers and two sisters, named Reginald, Victor, Stanley, Ernie, Winnie and Dorothy.  He was the oldest of the seven children.
