Thomas was born in 1785 in Reigate, Surrey.. Thomas' father was Thomas STEER and his mother was Elizabeth COOKE. He had two brothers and two sisters, named James, Richard, Elizabeth and Charlotte.  He was the second oldest of the five children.  He died at the age of 65 in August 1850 in Marylebone, London, Middlesex..  He was buried on August 12th, 1850 in St Mary Magdalene, Reigate, Surrey..1 2
