Charlotte was born in 1794 in Reigate, Surrey..1   Charlotte's father was Thomas STEER and her mother was Elizabeth COOKE. She had three brothers and a sister, named Thomas, James, Richard and Elizabeth.  She was the second youngest of the five children.
