Sidney J was born about 1875 in Greenwich Kent.1   Sidney J's father was James STEER and his mother was Eliza A STEER.  His maternal grandfather is <Unknown> and his maternal grandmother was Mary A WALLER. He had five brothers named James C, William H, Alfred G, Henry G and Frederick J.  He was the third oldest of the six children.
