Ronald was born about 1872 in Kingsbridge, Devon.1   Ronald's father was George Frederick STEER and his mother was Susan Deacon Ford.  His maternal grandfather was James FORD and his maternal grandmother is <Unknown>. He had a brother and a sister, named Charles and Olive E.  He was the oldest of the three children.
