Louisa was born about 1859 in Stanmer, Sussex.1   Louisa's father was James STEER and her mother was Caroline STEER. She had four brothers and three sisters, named Walter, Samuel, Isaac, George, Ellen, Sarah and Mary.  She was the youngest of the eight children.
