Charles was born about 1883 in Derby Derbyshire.1   Charles' father was John T STEER and his mother was Emily STEER.  His paternal grandfather is <Unknown> and his paternal grandmother was Hannah STEER. He had a brother and three sisters, named Fredrick, Alice, Mary E and Emma.  He was the second youngest of the five children.
