Ann was born in 1770 in Surrey.. Ann's father was John STEER and her mother was Johanna ARNOLD.  Her paternal grandparents were John STEER and Elizabeth FRITH. She had three brothers and two sisters, named William, George, Thomas, Mary and Sarah.  She was the second youngest of the six children.
