Alexander was born about 1873.1   Alexander's father was Arthur STEER and his mother was Selina STEER.  His paternal grandfather is <Unknown> and his paternal grandmother was Elizabeth STEER. He had a brother and three sisters, named Arthur, Amelia, Annie and Kate.  He was the second oldest of the five children.
