Agnes was born about 1891 in Saddleworth, Yorkshire.1   Agnes' father was William STEER and her mother was Mary J STEER. She had three brothers and three sisters, named John W, George, Tom, Eliza, Mary A and Alice.  She was the youngest of the seven children.
