Elizabeth was born about 1888 in Mile End, London.1   Elizabeth's father was Edwin STEARS and her mother was Matilda STEARS. She had four brothers and a sister, named Alfred, Henry, Edwin, Arthur and Mary.  She was the youngest of the six children.
