Annie was born about 1887 in Bonchurch, Isle of Wight.1   Annie's father was Thomas STEARS and her mother was Susannah J STEARS. She had two brothers and three sisters, named Charles, Frank, Elizabeth, Winifred and Susannah E.  She was the third oldest of the six children.
