Thomas H was born about 1881 in Aveton Gifford Devon.1   Thomas H's father was Charles H STEAR and his mother was Sarah G STEAR.  His paternal grandparents were William H STEAR and <Unknown>. He had two brothers and two sisters, named William C, Frederick G, Annie J and Minnie F.  He was the third oldest of the five children.
