Martha A was born about 1844 in Worsborough Dale, Yorkshire.1   Martha A's father was Adam STEAR and her mother was Eliza STEAR. She had a brother and three sisters, named Herbert, Alice, Sarah and Leah.  She was the oldest of the five children.
