Robert was born on March 4th, 1728.1   Robert's father was Richard Goad and his mother was Frances Yate.  His paternal grandparents were Joseph Goad and Hannah Atkinson. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Christopher, Joseph, Hannah and Ruth.  He was the third oldest of the five children.
