Muriel's father was Arthur Edwin Pearse and her mother was Annie Frances H Tucker.  Her paternal grandparents were William Pearse and Celia Vivian; her maternal grandparents were John Tucker and Elizabeth. She had four brothers and a sister, named Edwin, William, Percival, Eric and Dorothy.  She was the third oldest of the six children.  She died at the age of 89 on July 27th, 1991.
