Mary's father was Will Letts and her mother was Ann Blanchard.  Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Letts and Allice. She had three brothers and a sister, named John, Richard, William and Elisabeth.  She was the second oldest of the five children.  She died at the age of 23 in 1743.  She was buried on July 13th, 1743 in Coulsdon, Surrey.²
