Lydia was born on August 29th, 1852 in Birkby, Huddersfield.1  Lydia's father was William Fenton and her mother was Hannah Wood.  Her paternal grandparents were Joseph Fenton and Peggy Armitage; her maternal grandparents were Joseph Wood and <Unknown>. She had three brothers and three sisters, named Joseph, Thomas, William, Sarah, Mary and Hannah.  She was the second youngest of the seven children.  She died due to a respiratory problem and/or pneumonia, Chronic bronchitis; exhaustion, at the age of 58 on March 2nd, 1911 in Bradford.1

‌Lydia and Henry were married in a religious ceremony on August 11th, 1875 in Free Wesleyan Chapel, BrunswickSt. Huddersfield witnessed by William Fenton; Hannah Eliza Fenton.2  They had three sons and three daughters, named Edward, William, Henry, Lily, Annie and Elsie.
