Jane's father was William Bainbridge and her mother was Sarah Quickfall.  Her maternal grandparents were Samuel Quickfall and Elizabeth. She had six brothers and five sisters, named William, Samuel, Edward, John, John, Francis, Ann, Margaret, Sarah, Helen and Hannah.  She was the third youngest of the twelve children.  She died at the age of 13 on January 4th, 1854.¹
